So as the title says… I got my connection fixed! As I had suspected it was my network (WiFi) card which was causing my connection issues, so one ethernet extension cable and a (what should have been) quick bit of drilling and I’m back to having a fair connection!!

Time for another new logo???

So I’ve had some form of web presence for the best part of a decade now and I’ve gone through several iterations of my logo. I’d like to think that I’ve improved each time, last time was my attempt at utilising negative space, and I wasn’t overly pleased with it, so now I have two possible new logos… I have a favourite, but I’d love to hear from my readers. Which do you prefer?

This one is where I’m trying to move from blatant lettering. I still use my initials, but in a less obvious, slightly more abstract way. This took a little tweaking because after going away and coming back I realised that it sort of looked like a person lying on their front and farting (thanks Dad and Nana for not immediately telling me, I don’t know how I missed it!) anyway a little moving of bits and shading hopefully got it away from that accidental scat humour!!)

So… still using lettering, but in a more deliberate and (hopefully) more sophisticated and professional way! This goes back to my roots in graphic communications, I play a little with depth while tying in my newly discovered favourite font!

Or maybe just a cartoon version of myself!

So I’ve discussed how the current pandemic has affected me and how I feel about how it’s being handled where I live. Now I want to talk about my hopes about what affect it’ll have in future. I really really really hope home working continues to be the norm and that people will be a lot more conscious of personal space boundaries! I hope people travel less (especially by plane) and meet virtually wherever possible to reduce air travel. Covid has been good for the environment in reducing humanity’s carbon footprint and I hope we collectively try to keep reducing! Let me know your feelings about it in the comments or by email.
